Nissan Patrol V8 Interior Carbon Upgrade

This Nissan Patrol V8 came in with the standard factory wood grain interior. It’s something you see on a lot of these cars and there’s no real option from factory to change it.

The owner wanted a more modern look but didn’t want to lose the premium feel that the Patrol interior is known for.

We removed all interior trim pieces that had the factory wood grain finish. That includes the dash trims, centre console sections, and door inserts.

Everything was stripped out properly so we could work on each piece individually without cutting corners.

Instead of wrapping, we went with a hydro-dipped carbon fibre finish. This process allows the pattern to fully wrap around complex shapes, which is where vinyl usually falls short.

Tight edges, curves, and recessed areas come out clean and consistent.

After the dipping process, each piece was finished with a 2K gloss clear coat. This is the part that makes the difference. It gives depth, durability, and that OEM-style finish that doesn’t look aftermarket.

The goal here wasn’t to make it look modified. It was to make it look like it could have come like this from factory.

Turnaround on a job like this is typically one to two weeks. There’s a lot of handling, curing, and reassembly involved if you want it done properly.

Most people want to upgrade interiors but end up going backwards in quality. Cheap carbon overlays or vinyl wraps can look good in photos, but in person you can tell straight away.

The texture is off, the finish is flat, and it kills the feel of the car.

Hydro-dipping with a proper 2K finish keeps the interior looking premium. You get the carbon look without sacrificing the quality of the original materials.

It integrates properly with the rest of the cabin instead of standing out for the wrong reasons.

Key Takeaways:
• Factory wood grain interiors can be upgraded without replacing parts
• Hydro-dipping handles complex shapes better than vinyl wrap
• 2K gloss clear is what gives the OEM finish and durability
• Cheap carbon finishes are easy to spot and ruin the interior feel
• Proper process takes time but the end result is worth it

If you want to upgrade your interior without making it look aftermarket, this is the level it needs to be done at.

Based in Phuket, we focus on doing it properly so the finish matches the car.
